Easy, resizable figures
I hadn't thought of using fonts available to me on Windows until I read a thread about using special fonts on the Vectric forums. That thread used fonts members had contributed, but there are fonts already on your PC you can use with little effort. What you do is pick the symbol font you want, and use the corresponding letter, number, etc. to add it to your carving. The links on the left are some .pdf files I made that show what character you should type, and the vector you get from each font as a result. Going from page to page is slow because the graphics must be drawn for each page, so be patient.

The fonts shown in the Symbols link were already installed on my PC, either because they came with Windows, or were installed by Microsoft Office.

Here is an example using the Wingding font shown in Symbols.pdf, and using capital J as the letter I typed. I am showing the example using Vectric Aspire, but it would be done the same using VCarvePro.

The fonts shown in the Frames link came from the previously mentioned Vectric forum, and are available here.

An example using the FramesAnd font shown in Frames.pdf, and using the number 4 as the character I typed. This could be used as picture frame. Once I had one corner, I flipped and reversed it to get the other corners.

The third link is for fonts that were made by Brian Kent, and are free from his site, Aenigmafonts.

An example using the Symmetry font shown in SymbolsCarving.pdf (Aenigmafonts), and using the $ sign 4 times as the characters I typed. This could make a box lid or side.
